Fans have taken the internet on a ride by writing how empowering and beautiful the debut of Zendaya’s new Barbie is. Zendaya is also not able to hold so much happiness inside.
She told Vogue, “The doll looks exactly like my look! Literally down to my pinkie ring. I really appreciate that they took the time to make [the doll] super detailed and took time with the hair, because obviously the hair was so important.”
Zendaya’s Barbie is sporting her famous look from Oscars, 2015. Zendaya debuted her look-alike Barbie in BET awards where she was seen adoring a Nicolas Jebran shirtdress.
Zendaya even went on to Instagram and posted a side-by-side picture of her Oscar look and Barbie with an overwhelming caption:

Nicki Minaj also congratulated Zendaya on her empowering new Barbie by posting her look-alike Barbie which was honoured to her in 2011. She congratulated Zendaya and wrote, “Anyway, I love your doll’s hair! I love what it means for other little girls who will identify with it & be empowered. Continue to be proud of yourself girls!!!!! #Barbie,” reported MTV.
Minaj even took to Instagram by posting side-by-side both the Barbies and revealed on future ideas for the Barbies writing, “@zendayathey should have matching bff Barbie cars with the dream house to match. Love this.”
Amidst such overwhelming response, Demi Lovato’s comment on Zendaya’s Barbie was not taken lightly by fans. Seventeen reported that Demi Lovato received backlash from Zendaya’s fans for tweeting towards Barbie and asking curvy Barbie.
